Physician (Pathologist Section Chief)
Pathology is the specialty that uses the tools of laboratory medicine to solve disease-related problems. In the hospital setting, pathologists participate in day-to-day care of hospital patients by providing and interpreting laboratory information to help solve diagnostic problems and to monitor the effects of treatment. This pathologist will have medical oversight and supervision of the clinical pathology sections of the FHCC laboratories (hospital campus and Navy branch medical clinics) including hematology, coagulation, blood bank, microbiology, and chemistry as the CLIA defined "clinical consultant" and "technical consultant/supervisor" and report to the FHCC laboratory medical director.
