Position Information:
We are currently seeking a physician to join our growing bariatrics team in the Raleigh area to serve as Medical Director. Our well established group offers comprehensive services to the community and provides a full support team including experienced nurses, bariatric coordinator/navigator, dietitians, and exercise/fitness specialists. With 7 highly-trained board certified surgeons and 7 locations, our practice provides a wide range of diagnostic and surgical services to patients from throughout the region at an accredited comprehensive center for bariatric surgery by ACS and MBSAQIP.
Our Ideal candidate will have at least 5 year clinical experience and prior leadership experience preferred. The Medical Director is responsible for local strategy, operational performance and appropriate development of their group/division. Responsibilities include leading the group in the development and execution of operational tactics to achieve the aspirational goals for the group; including but not limited to - quality, patient experience, clinical outcomes, financial outcomes, new services, regional development, referral development, clinical operations and collaborative medical staff interactions. In the leadership role, the individual will work closely with other physician leaders, physicians, APPs, nursing, administration (WPP and system), recruiting, clinical and financial staff and marketing utilizing a collaborative leadership style to develop the division into one that is recognized as a leader in conjunction with our WakeMed Mission, Vision and Values. The Medical Director will also serve in a clinical capacity providing quality care to the patients within their assigned division and the WakeMed system.
