The Emory University School of Medicine/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is seeking exceptional physicians for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.

With expansion and planning for a new large 430+ bed hospital to open in 2025 (see below), we are seeking qualified applicants with experience and interests in:

GI or Hepatology

The position includes both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as teaching colleagues, fellows, residents, and medical students. The candidate will be provided the opportunity to care for patients in general GI or Hepatology clinics and teach in fellows clinic. Applicants with experience and focus in Liver Transplant, Pancreatology, IBD, EoE, NAFLD, CF and nutritional issues are particularly encouraged to apply. The Division is actively engaged in a wide variety of clinical/research programs including the following: aerodigestive, eosinophilic GI diseases, IBD, intestinal rehabilitation, weight/wellness, feeding, autism, fatty liver disease, cholestatic and genetic liver diseases, biliary atresia, endoscopy/advanced endoscopy, pancreatic disorders, and liver transplant.

The Division includes 18 clinical faculty, 6 research PhDs, who cover a variety of academic interests, 10 with extramural funding. Program strengths include hepatology and IBD and members are engaged in national consortiums including the following: ICN, ChiLDReN, PUSH, NASH CRN, SPLIT, RISK, PROTECT, CAPTURE and multiple industry-supported trials. The Division is proud of an exceptional training program including an NIDDK-supported T32 Training Program, 6 fellows and a transplant hepatology fellow.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta recently opened a 260,000 square-foot ambulatory clinic building which includes office space and clinics.

Children's is in the midst of building a state-of-the-art 1.5 million-square foot 430+ bed Arthur M. Blank Hospital slated to open in 2025.
