The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for two Physicians (Sleep Medicine). The Physicians (Sleep Medicine) will function virtually within the VISN 10 Clinical Resource Hub, a repository of clinical & administrative staff that serve VA facilities within VISN 10 that are underserved or experiencing gaps in clinicians due to the inability to match provider supply with demand. Services provided by CRH staff are conducted via multiple modalities, including virtual and in-person care. Evaluating, diagnosing and developing management plans in consultation with the referring provider. Ordering and providing preliminary interpretation of appropriate diagnostic testing commensurate to a patient's clinical presentation. Providing relevant patient education regarding diagnoses and medication management including but not limited to obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, Hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, insomnia, parasomnia, sleep movement disorders, positive airway pressure and non invasive ventilation therapies. When relevant, prescribing controlled substances. Providers must maintain active ACLS certification. Appropriate education and supervision of trainees at all levels is expected. Performing procedures commensurate with subspecialty training when appropriate, including the following: In lab sleep test / Polysomnography (includes polysomnography, split night, maintenance of wakefulness test, mean sleep latency test, Polysomnography -nap studies) Home sleep test Actigraphy Overnight oximetry Work Schedule: Full time Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Virtual: Yes Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Offered: Yes
