The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a full-time staff physician to be a pulmonary and critical care specialist on Medical Service. The Oklahoma City VAMC is a tertiary care facility serving Oklahoma and part of northern Texas and an integral part of the educational and research mission of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The candidate must ensure compliance with all quality, policy, and regulatory requirements. The physician will participate in inpatient and outpatient quality care, teaching, and research related to pulmonary/critical care diseases. He/she will apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance and management of such diseases. The incumbent must be proficient in routine and advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures, including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial therapeutic interventions and bedside ultrasound. The physician will participate in the education and supervision of trainees. Strong research experience is preferred.
