The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System is currently recruiting for a Full-time, Permanent, Physician Oncologist/Hematologist. This position will be located in the Medical Subspecialty Service line at the Sioux Falls VAHCS. Throughout the duration of this vacancy announcement, applications that are received will be referred to the selecting official on a bi-weekly basis. Provide comprehensive care to include diagnosis, treatment and education of patients. Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consult requests to ensure timely care for patients suspected of having Oncology or Hematology needs. Coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other medical personnel in a multidisciplinary health care delivery system. Perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as peer reviews, and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE). Provide clinical supervision and support to any Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners working in the Oncology clinic. Physician will be required to attend staff meetings, serves on committees, teams, workgroups, and peer reviews as requested. Completes CME, VA Training, HIPAA, Security training, and other training mandatory trainings. Work Schedule: The tour of duty for this position is typically Monday-Friday, Administrative hours. On-Call, weekend, nights and rotating weekends maybe needed. Additional information may be provided during the interview process. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
