The HIV Clinical Leadership Fellowship Program for Physicians is a unique fellowship training program for physicians committed to improving primary care for people living with HIV in underserved communities. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide physicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to be experts in HIV care, to be health systems leaders, and to be successful community partners in patient-centered and community-specific HIV interventions.Candidates will be competitively selected through a national search for this two-year fellowship program.
Applications are available online at www.hivmedfellowship.com and are accepted from July 1 through October 1 during this application year. Due to the HIV epidemic, we encourage physicians with an interest in practicing in the SOUTH and MID-ATLANTIC STATES to apply!
Once we receive your completed application, we may contact you for an interview. Final cohort selection will be completed by November 30. The fellowship program may accept up to four qualified candidates per year and begins on July 1 each year. Ideal candidates are board-eligible graduates of a US based residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics with a strong interest in HIV medicine or an interest in building community programs to improve access to quality HIV care.
Desired qualifications for potential candidates include:
A strong interest in primary care and HIV medicine
A strong interest in pursuing and implementing outpatient quality improvement or system innovation
A sincere desire to work with under-served communities.??
The HIV Clinical Leadership Program is seeking applicants who are board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics. Applicants must have completed an accredited United States medical residency program. The fellowship does not support any international visas.
