The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS is seeking a full-time Physician (Radiation Oncologist). This is an open-continuous announcement and will remain open until September 30, 2021, or until the position is filled (if a selection is made and offer accepted, announcement will be closed). Qualified applicants will be referred to the selecting official every two weeks from the opening date of the announcement. Incentive ~ This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program. Please see information under "Education" for more details. Major Duties and Responsibilities ~ Perform history and physical exams on patients. ~ Run computerized tomography simulations (radiation therapy planning scans). ~ Monitors radiation therapy treatments on Linac machines. ~ Conduct consultations, follow-ups, and addresses any emergencies or complications related to radiation therapy. ~ Participates on Interdisciplinary Teams for treatment planning. ~ Training/supervision of medical students/residents/fellows. ~ Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. On-call responsibility for emergencies. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
