Position Summary: This position involves mitigating risk and protecting the health care organization, and providing a safe environment for its patients. The main focuses are reducing medical errors, improving patient safety, and staying current on federal and state laws and regulations. This position involves active participation in all patient safety committees, managing claims and service recovery, acting as a resource for hospital staff who have a legal concern, facilitating investigations, and assisting legal counsel in the litigation process. #LI-DJ1
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: LVN/LPN, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of direct patient care experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona, or compact state.
Two years experience in Risk Management and Patient Safety in an acute care setting. Clinical background in an acute care setting.
