Infection Preventionist Coordinator

The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare associated infections in accordance with current federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs. The IP collaborates with teams and individuals to create and sustain infection prevention strategies and provide feedback. Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the community infection prevention program to prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infection. Responsible for coordinating the infection control program which includes surveillance, analysis of data and developing reports. Develops education program in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding on units. Teaches staff current accepted resident care and community practices as they relate to infection control and prevention.
