Work Schedule: Days/Evenings: 7 call shifts per month
Geisinger’s Women & Children’s Institute is seeking multiple board eligible/certified Ob/Gyn Laborists to join our thriving practices in the northeast region with the primary location being Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
The ideal candidate will be a more seasoned candidate, great team player, experience working with midwives and enjoys co-managing with them. Opportunities exist for working with both medical students and residents. In this role you will focus on giving inpatient care to pregnant women, managing labor and delivery on both an emergency and routine basis. Call coverage will be expected at both platforms (Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton and Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes Barre). Each platform is a 24-hour in house call. GWV has roughly 1900 deliveries per year and GCMC is projected to have 500 deliveries in year one and more than doubling in the second year.
