The Surgery Institute at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The new associate will join a surgical department with specialty practices in general, colorectal, trauma and bariatric surgery as well as six bariatric surgeons in a collaborative system-wide bariatric surgery practice. All sites are MBSAQI-accredited. The Scranton specialty practice will be bariatric (>50%), foregut and general surgery to include two bariatric surgeons and a physician assistant.
This opportunity is tailored to an individual finishing a bariatrics fellowship, or an experienced bariatric surgeon who is interested in joining a collegial group of surgeons in a progressive healthcare system. This candidate should have interest in teaching general surgery residents.
