Laboratory Medical Director
Primary Location: McLaren Greater Lansing – 310 Bed Acute Care Hospital
Medical Staff duties
Monday – Friday, with weekend and off hours on-call rotation
Lab Management of On-site acute care (stat) laboratory
Maintain laboratory for CAP survey readiness
Develop quality assurance and quality improvement programs
Perform diagnostic pathology services
Oversight of pathology assistant and cytotechnologist support
Frozen section coverage
Lead the lab into a new flagship hospital for McLaren Health Care in 2022

Ideal Candidate:
Board Certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
Fellowship subspecialty trained – preferred
Graduate of an ACGME approved Residency program
Minimum of 5 years post residency experience - preferred
Medical Directorship experience (3+ years) – required
Unrestricted Michigan State Medical License

Integrated Pathology Associates: We are a 22 pathologist physician-owned group serving 15 hospitals across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Our central business office is located in the Greater Flint area, providing in-house billing operations and a private anatomic pathology laboratory. We have multiple fellowship-trained pathologists with sub-specialties in hematopathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, neuropathology, gastrointestinal and genitourinary pathology. We work closely with the McLaren Health System and its subsidiary Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer treatment and research center, with a large provider network and 16 treatment locations. These affiliations, as well as several others across the state, provide a strong base for the group as a whole.
