Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, Pa is looking for a BE/BC Pediatric Nephrologist (MD or DO) to join a team of 1 full time associate and one full time pediatric nephrology physician assistant. This position will be a blend of office-based outpatient care and hospital inpatient consultations and admissions, along with dialysis coverage. Services we provide include peritoneal dialysis, in-center hemodialysis, renal biopsy, renal transplantation. There may be some outreach however we are supported by a telemedicine program and “Ask-A-Doc” programs have the potential to extend consultative care to remote areas.
The pediatric nephrology department is supported by a team of pediatric renal dietitians, pediatric social workers and dialysis nursing.
• The primary work location is Geisinger Medical Center • Patient volume is typically 6-12 patients per day • Use EPIC Electronic Medical Records system • Opportunities exist for supervising and teaching residents • 40 hour work week + call (great work/life balance)
