Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a board-certified transplant hepatologist to join a growing transplant service. The selected candidate will provide care to patients with end-stage and chronic liver disease. Clinical duties will include the management of pre and post liver transplantation patients, along with evaluation, consultation and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including immunosuppression management.
Completion of an AST-certified hepatology fellowship and UNOS clinical experience pathway to qualify as a primary physician is required.
With federal approval from UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing), the Memorial Transplant Institute in South Florida includes an adult and pediatric kidney transplant program at Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood. The Institute established a living donor kidney recovery component, including open and laparoscopic nephrectomies. The kidney programs offer cadaveric, pediatric and living donor kidney transplants.
This is a full-time employed position which offers a highly competitive and desirable compensation package that is commensurate with training, experience and market demand. Professional malpractice and liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
