Richmond VA: An outstanding opportunity exists for a BC/BE, fellowship trained Glaucoma Specialist with an interest in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery to join Virginia's most diverse and highly respected physician owned multi-specialty Opthalmology group consisting of 38+ providers operating seven full service locations around Central Virginia. The successful candidate will replace one of the three existing glaucoma specialists who is preparing to retire at the end of 2019 from a very busy, mature practice. Subspecialty coverage includes pediatrics, oculoplastics, glaucoma, cornea and retina and and is coupled with a strong internal referral base. This is a chance to be a part of a very busy practice with the potential to see 50+ patients per day.
The group also owns and operates an ASC with 5 operating rooms, performing over 10,000 cases per year. This practice is looking for a long term relationship with potential for partnership. There is a well defined track to partnership that is granted based on achieving superior outcomes and patient satisfaction scores as well as demonstrating good citizenship within the practice.
The practice is located in Central Virginia in one of the most livable metropolitan areas in America with a population of nearly 1.3 million residents. The Richmond, Virginia area is rich in history with terrific neighborhoods, museums and festivals. The city also boasts the region's largest museum. Easy access to Washington, D.C., with Virginia’s beaches and the Shenandoah Mountains only an hour and a half away. In the city and surrounding area you will find a wealth of small-town charm and big-city amenities. The region enjoys four distinct seasons, including one of the most remarkable displays of fall foliage along the Eastern seaboard.
We are seeking candidates who have completed residency and fellowship at premier training programs. Both new graduates and experienced providers will be considered.
