The Drexel University College of Medicine/ Hahnemann University Hospital Internal Medicine Residency is seeking an Associate Program Director. The program trains 126 categorical residents and 20 preliminary interns. The APD will join an energetic and innovative leadership team and become part of a rich and diverse faculty at Drexel University. Our clinical sites are located in the heart of Philadelphia with easy access to the abundant cultural activities in this historic city.
The APD will have significant administrative time to join our current efforts in developing/implementing curricula and optimizing the learning environment for our housestaff. The clinical component will be a blend of precepting and direct patient care with a focus on ambulatory medicine.
The Associate Program Director will assist the Program Director with the core functions of structure, competency and accreditation standards as per the ACGME. This position includes opportunities for mentoring and advising of residents, recruitment activities, clinical work, scholarly activity, and professional development.
