The Clinical Services Coordinator will:
Develop and provide primary care for HIV positive patients of all age ranges (infant to 25)
Ensure compliance with standards, policies and procedures
Obtain patient histories and perform diagnostics
Refer patients to ED or for inpatient admission, as appropriate to medical status
Oversee the Family Program RN and Clinic LPN Floater
Lead the development of new programmatic initiatives
Continuously address the clinical and psychosocial needs of infants born to HIV+ mothers, HIV+ pediatric patients and HIV diagnosed or at-risk adolescents
Coordinate, prepare and present data and participate in grant-writing activities
The qualified professional must have:
Master’s degree in Nursing, or comparable Advanced Nurse Practice education
Experience and Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
Current NYS licensure as an RN and NP
Completion of BCLS training
Understanding of the clinical needs of patients ranging from infant to 25 years old, particularly those who are HIV+/AIDS
Bilingual skills in Spanish or Creole strongly desired
