This position is assigned to Medical Service, under the supervision of the Chief, Medicine. The successful candidate will provide a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic GI procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. Candidates must be eligible for an academic position in the Department of Internal Medicine. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology. As the gastroenterologist, you are recognized as a source of knowledge with clinical expertise in a specialized area of medicine and will share this knowledge and expertise with professional and supportive staff through in-services and educational activities. Your advanced clinical experience will show demonstrated skills in providing clinical interface with academic affiliates and other stakeholders, demonstrated commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care delivery, and, demonstrated ability to work well within a group of clinical providers. Duties also include shared call coverage, and other duties as assigned.
