The Shelby County Government in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Public Health Physician for the Shelby County Health Department. Reporting to the Health Officer provides direct patient care to patients receiving infectious disease services in Shelby County. Provides medical consult across the division, responding to public health emergencies and employing public health law to address actual or potential public health threats. Represents the division in community meetings and serves as a spokesperson for the division.

A qualified candidate must be a physician licensed in Tennessee with unlimited DEA and Board Certified in a related medical specialty (preventive medicine, family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics). A successful candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible public health/health administration and program development experience.
