The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, in affiliation with our university hospital, the University of Vermont Medical Center, seeks a pathologist with expertise in Breast Pathology for a full-time faculty position on the Clinical Scholar Pathway (non-tenure) at any professorial rank.
Strong diagnostic skills with experience in Surgical Pathology/Breast Pathology are preferred. Strong interest and evidence of experience in medical student, resident and/or fellow education is essential. The applicant should have evidence of academic productivity and will be expected to pursue scholarly activities and/or clinical, translational or collaborative research. The applicant must be Board eligible/certified in Anatomic Pathology with additional fellowship training in Breast Pathology preferred. Surgical Pathology at the University of Vermont Medical Center processes approximately 43,000 specimens per year, including approximately 1,550 breast specimens per year. The Department also has a Surgical Pathology Fellowship, and a Pathology Student Fellowship Program.
