Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a BE/BC pediatric physiatrist with excellent clinical and personal skills to join the team of dedicated professionals in the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation. The desired candidate should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as be knowledgeable in brain injury, neuromuscular conditions and spasticity. The candidate should be proficient to participate in multidisciplinary clinics including spasticity, neuro-oncology, neuromuscular diseases, and the wheelchair/equipment clinic (with PT and vendor support) and will be expected to be an attending physician for physiatry residents in our new residency program.The physician will be responsible for outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services in our six-bed CARF-accredited inpatient unit and will also enjoy the full support of pediatric subspecialists and services.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

About the Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Program
Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital includes both inpatient and outpatient divisions. The Pediatric and Adolescent Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is a six-bed, CARF-accredited comprehensive program that includes PT,OT, SLT, neuropsychology, Child Life, social work. Outpatient services include aquatic therapy, serial casting, and vestibular therapy for concussion/brain injury patients. Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital maintains a collaborative relationship with the adult rehabilitation programs offered by the Rehabilitation Institute of South Florida, a facility of Memorial Healthcare System.
