This is a full-time position at the assistant or associate professor, or professor level for an appointment in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University.
The duties of this position include: providing patient care in Hepatology clinic/clinic equivalent in the areas of general GI, and endoscopy; attending between 8 and 10 weeks each year on the Hepatology consult service; sharing night/weekend call responsibilities with other GI faculty members; and teaching medical students, residents, and GI fellows during the course of the year.
The duties of this position include:Clinical 75%
a. 6 half days of clinic/clinic equivalents during non-attending weeks: - Four -half days of Hepatology Clinic (1 Transplant Clinic, 3 General Hepatology), - Two- half days of outpatient endoscopy
b. Attending responsibilities- 8 to 10 weeks per year in rotation with other faculty. During attending rotations you will be expected to supervise Gl fellows, complete all inpatient Hepatology consultations. During the attending rotation, you will not have other afternoon outpatient obligations and will receive full credit for these afternoon outpatient clinics.
Nursing support will be provided for all outpatient activities, at roughly .50 FTE per faculty member.
Scholarly and Research work 25%
c.Teaching of medical students, residents, Gl fellows during the course of the year.
Individual must be board certified in Gastroenterology and board eligible or certified in Transplant Hepatology and obtain a valid Oregon medical license. He/she must have completed a course of advanced training in Transplant Hepatology. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
